Return Of Black Doom- Chapter 03

While Shadow and Rouge were on their way to help Sonic and Sky, the couple were still fighting off the Black Arms. At this moment, the situation was going from bad to worse for the loved-up pair;


"... I've done it- The message has been sent. I just hope it has gone through to someone who can help us, such as Tails or G.U.N. ..." she said to Sonic as she turned-off her wrist communicator.

"Yeah, someone is bound to get it. I still think you shouldn't worry so much, Sky,
you have more strength and power than you give yourself credit for. And besides,
either one of us can handle these Black Arms creeps, no problem!" Sonic assured his
lovely girlfriend shortly before he used his trademark Spin-Dash move to knock a vast majority of the evil aliens clean out of the way.


Sky was also holding her own against them, delivering blow after blow. When one got too close, she doesn't waste any time and swiftly kicks it into submission.


"Maybe you're right. The reason I worry is because I want you to stay safe! ..." She told him. Just then, she was rudely interrupted by an unfamiliar (to her) voice coming from behind her;


"I am afraid that none of you will remain 'safe', unless..."


Sky turned around to see the one who was speaking to her in a dark tone-
It was none other than Doom's Eye;


"... Unless you co-operate with me! Only then will you guarantee the safety of your
loved one!"

"Wh... Who are you? What makes you think I should co-operate with the likes of you?!" she said to him.

"Hmm... How strange that your maker had forgotten to inform you of your 'true origins'! Although, he did the same to Shadow! Perhaps Professor Gerald was rather reckless when he created you! ..." Doom's Eye replied.

"Huh? What are you talking about? Professor Gerald was NOT my maker, I was actually created by Dr Eggman!" Sky told him, and added;

"How did you know I was created in the first place!?"


"I know EVERYTHING about you, my dear:- You were created using ancient remains,
long-lost data from the space colony A.R.K, & a sample of MY blood, to become the weapon you are today! ... "

"I have no idea what you are talking about! ..."

"That fat, pompous fool stole the very tools his grandfather Gerald used to create
that 'traitorous' hedgehog, and turned you into one of us!"

"Excuse me!?!" she shrieked in horror at his last remark.

"I imagine that Dr Eggman had not mentioned that minor detail to you, did he!
I can prove that everything I have told you is true...
Remove your left glove, and all shall be revealed to you!" he told her.

"'Hmph!' Fine I'll do it, but only to prove you wrong! Then I'll show you and ..."

Sky paused to remove part of her fingerless glove, but what she saw made her cry out;


"NO! That-Is-Not-Possible!! ..."


On the top of her hand, just below her knuckles was the 'insignia' of the Black Arms**.

Doom's Eye moved closer to the distraught female echidna, and said to her;


"So, now do you believe me? This proves all that I have just said!..." he paused as he moved right beside Sky, and whispered;


"... Forget your past cause. Forget the doctor. Join us, and together we will ravage this pathetic planet and those despicable humans!"


He assumed he was getting through to Sky due to her stunned silence, but he did not expect her reaction;


"Me? Join with you and your kind?!... NEVER!!" she screamed as she turned to face him and fought back with her trademark 'Chaos Swift' attack.


Thinking her Chaos Swift move had worked, Sky thought out loud;


"That showed him! Huh? ..."

She paused when she realised that Doom's Eye was nowhere to be seen.

"... Wait a second, where did he go? Did I destroy him?! ..."


Sky was about to say something else when, from out of nowhere, she could hear someone say;


"Heh, heh, heh! Close, my dear, but not close enough! ..."


Suddenly, before she could react, Sky was hit by a surge of (what seemed to be) an alien type of electricity;

"AAAGGHH!" she screamed out in pain as the attack rapidly moved throughout her entire body until she could take no more.
She slumped on to the ground with a loud thud, barely conscious.


"Sky?... SKY!" Sonic cried as he saw her fall, and he quickly rushed to her aid;


"Sky, wake up! Please! ..." he begged her, but she was hurt, and therefore unable to respond.


What he didn't know was that Doom's Eye was  creeping up behind the blue hedgehog, ready to strike. Oblivious, Sonic carried on talking to his injured girlfriend;


"C'mon, honey... Open your eyes! It's me, Sonic ..." he pleaded, but it was no use-


She slowly slipped out of consciousness, then everything turned black....
